Growing up in a single-parent household, I was inspired by my mother’s work ethic and determination, despite experiencing a debilitating work injury. Seeing her go through physical therapy, I was first introduced to this practice and how it truly has the capacity to change a client’s daily life. What drew me to rehab was not only what a significant role it played in my mom’s recovery, but how it aligned with my personal values of using exercise to promote better health and wellbeing. As such, I was motivated to pursue this profession and commit myself to compassionately empowering clients, while providing the highest level of care.
I pursued my undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and went on to complete my Masters of Physical Therapy program at the University of Limerick (Ireland) in 2021. Upon graduation, I decided to move back to my home city of Guelph where I spend my time teaching part-time tennis lessons, playing golf, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my four-month-old Toy Poodle, Chase.
