Certified Pilates Instructor
Heather grew up dancing, which fostered her curiosity about how the body moves and works. As a young adult Heather wanted to be a scientist, but after completing an undergraduate thesis in a lab she realized that she was more patient with people than with pipettes!
Heather completed her Bachelor of Arts and Science in 2001 and her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2004 at McMaster University. As a physiotherapist, Heather hopes to empower people of all ages to learn more about their body and how to perform at their best.
Heather has completed post-graduate courses in Pilates Mat (Advanced) and Reformer (Intermediate), Manual Therapy (Level 3), Acupuncture (Level 1) and Pelvic Health (Level 1). Heather treats patients in the clinic, and teaches Clinical Pilates classes at Pilates in Guelph. Heather is a member of Healthy Dancer Canada the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists. Heather lives in Guelph with her husband and three children. She loves music and dance, reading, family road trips, and escapes to the wilderness of Killarney Provincial Park or anywhere you can hike, paddle or jump in the lake.
